What do I need to view my lake maps on my lap top? Is there an adapter that I need for my chip different than what comes from my boat?

I don’t believe you can view the chip on a computer that you use in the finder in your boat. You can view the same Humminbird maps, however, but you’ll need to purchase Humminbird Contour Elite for the area that you want to look at. I have several different areas on Contour Elite and it works really, really well……..you can find GPS coordinates of spots and highlight depth contours among other things and you can also transfer coordinates from Contour Elite to the finder in your boat. I use it quite a lot.

No, you cannot view the lakes on a computer with the same SD card that you use in your Humminbird. To avoid any possibility in corrupting the card, DO NOT insert it into your computer.

Contour Elite is the product that you need to view Lakemaster maps on your computer. It’s a separate product.

I bought an extra power cord and a 9AH (ice flasher) battery, added an in line fuse and just use my hummingbird unit in demo mode (it struggles to get a gps lock inside the house in normal mode). For mapping it works just like normal in demo mode amd saves your waypoints and such.

I’ve since used an old portable battery box I had laying around and made it into a second flasher for ice fishing using my 5″ bow unit.
