Will the vexilar pro pack shuttle hold a helix 7 to be used for ice fishing?

My H7 wouldn’t stay put in the arms and the unit wanted to keep rotating down. I’m sure you could easily rig it with some rubber washers or o-rings to stop that though.

But it fit inside the arms on the shuttle?

Yes it fits the bracket/arms. Just mocked up my helix 7 to my propack shuttle last night but like Jamin says, it won’t stay put.

I have my Helix 7 mounted to the pro pack, and to prevent it from rotating I just slid a metal washer on the threaded nuts you use on the helix so they end up on the outside of the arms. The washers seem to provide enough friction to keep the unit in place. I will be going to the hardware store to pick up stainless steel or some other material that won’t rust.

Ran into that problem last year. I dug around for a few washers (on each side) and it stays put pretty well. Not ideal but its good enough

For those of you who have done this with a helix 7, will it still fit inside a 5 gallon pail?
