Vexilar FLX -30 Experience

Anyone out there have experience with the Vexilar FLX-30? Wondering how your experience has been. Any known isdues with the unit?

I have had one since they came out. The only issue I had was a broken wire on my transducer this winter. That was my fault tho. I really like the 30. It has the same sensitivity as the 28, but with more adjustability.

No issues with mine. I really like the 6 different cone angles and the multiple power levels.

I also like the fact that you can manually select your depth range for all depths and not just 10-50 on the 28.

Thanks Dave & Big Gill, debating on buying one from Reeds. Marked way down in their end of season ice sale.

Would recommend the 30 for sure – the new transducer is the real deal. To me the gap between 28 and 30 is similar to the gap between 12 and 28. If you need a new flasher I’d either go cheap and get the 12 or go all in and get the 30.

I really love my FL-20, but looking at the pricing on their website if I had to replace I’d go 30 as well simply because it doesn’t cost much more.
