Vexilar FLX 28

    Hi guys,

    Can I buy a Velixar FLX 28 with a Genz pack? The 28 already has a ton of features. I don’t want or need the Pro pack or the Ultra pack.

    I have an FL 18 Genz pack now. I love it, but am upgrading. Mine is 18 months old and works and looks like new. I like the Genz pack. Simple, durable, and practical.

    Thoughts? Thanks.

    Doesn’t look like you can. You can buy a head unit, transducer and a genz box separately though. Might cost the same as a pro pack though.

    I made my own genz pack combo. I had to buy every part on Amazon and eBay.

    That’s what I figured. I don’t like the clear window in the propack case. Useless. I have a regular softpack case for my FL18 Genz pack, and it’s nice. I want that, but with a FLX 28 mounted in it. Hmmm….not sure what to do now. Thanks guys.

    Reeds did a run of them a couple years ago through Vexilar. It would be worth giving Vex a call and asking if any distributor or store requested a run of them again. IIRC, they were VERY competitively priced also.

    I got my FLX 28 Genz pack through Reeds a couple years ago. I would recommend the running the Genz pack with it. I would do what Merican Eagle said and get in contact with either Vex or call Reeds and see if they will be doing it again.
