Ive searched all over the internet and so far I can only find the fix for the FL-28. Is there a way to change the Vex 30 from meters into feet? Waiting on a response from Vexilar as well.

You would think the answer would be in the manual but only the FL28 mentions it.

For anyone still want to know how to reset mm to feet on the vexilar 30BB. First charge your vexilar than put the gain to all the way to 9 and turn the second nod to S mode than push and hold the gain button than turn power on to auto after that it will automatically turn back to feet setting. Hope that helps.

You didn’t like the rest of your paragraph lol, I read it the first time about how awesome the garmin was but now I see that’s gone ? It’s a vexilar, 2 or 3 dials and that’s the entire machine. Obviously to change settings these are the kind of things users have to do. It doesn’t have sweet menu push options like the garmin so it’s pretty hard to compare. Most likely why you pulled the rest of the paragraph back down?

I asked my son if his new flx30 was stuck in meters after reading this and he said no. He used it yesterday and only caught one 10 inch crappie.

Neither of mine are in meters, I’m assuming that happens when turning all the right dials at the wrong time on accident lol.

Exactly why I deleted what I did waytogo

I was comparing apple to oranges and thought it would be better to leave it out.

Flashers are amazing tools, I still use my Bird 45, FL-18 and FL-8…but if you have to push UP-UP-DOWN-DOWN-LEFT-RIGHT-LEFT-RIGHT-B-A-START on three different knobs to change a setting a on a brand new 2024 Vex I don’t see myself buying one.

Morse Code is complicated with buttons, especially if it’s not in the user manual ^^^^

I’m pretty sure you meant 25.4 cm.

I looked into the 30BB last week when FF had them on sale.
I watch 2 minutes of the intro video from vexilar and said F that.

I think Vex miscalculated on the 30. They were better off trying to move people from the 28 to the 38 for those who wanted to stick to flashers. The frequency adjustments, adjustable zoom window, multiple power levels, and manual one foot depth range selection would have been enough new features for a new product. The 30 is the 28 with frequency adjustments, a medium power setting, and 18-foot zoom option.
