    Thanks to each of you who have served and those who are serving now.
    my father served in the United States Navy during the Korean war and my son is now serving in our Army National Guard,May God bless all of our service men and women.

    When it’s real cold out like this I often think about the veterans who had to fight in this weather. Being freezing cold is miserable. Combat is miserable. Doing both is unthinkable. Soldiers in Europe in WWII and later Korea used to pick apart the belongings of those killed in action because they might score a better pair of boots, maybe a jacket. In Korea they used frozen dead bodies to bolster defensive positions.

    Way too much has been done for our freedom to not think of and show gratitude to these veterans often.
