22 mag. CCC 22 maxi not firing. So far, about 20% failure rate. Remington, Winchester,,… 100% no issues. Go back to cci and misfires. Clear to see the brass is struck and firing pin is making good contact. Some I can try a second or third time and they’ll launch. Of coarse the cci pattern the best…. So far two boxes doing the same

Bummer, they must have had a bad batch. Are the lot numbers the same on your two boxes?

    Interesting.

It’s been my go to for years and has always been the best combination of accuracy and reliability I could find.

Lot of reports of problems with CCI standard Vel 22LR having issues also. Seems to be from the last year or two.

Maybe clean the bolt, especially the firing pin and spring spring. Every company uses a different blend of brass alloy and CCI might have started using one that takes more umph than what your gun has if the internals of the bolt are dirty.

Brand new Howa and all cleaned up. The impact to the brass is plenty strong enough. Put a couple of these in my buddy’s rifle and they won’t fire

Being different lot numbers is even more concerning. Good thing these (I hope) are not defense rounds.

Call cci and give them the opportunity to make it right. poop happens. I bet they take care of you

Have had zero issues with cci 22 mags. Would think maybe just a bad batch?

I’m sure it’s just a bad run. Just frustrating to have the need to eliminate some critters and just get a click

Hoping the issue doesn’t include 22 Long. I picked up 1,000 rounds recently to use in a Henry Silver Boy. I’m just waiting for the snow to leave to go shooting.

I have some Maxi in 22wmr, 30gr, and they’ve been excellent so far. Bought up a case in 2018. My Henry 22wmr with the 24″ octagon barrel loves them, and ONLY them, so I hope no issues arise.

In 22LR, I’ve had more issues with Winchester Super X than anything else. It was so bad after the Sandy Hook shortage that I’ve refused to buy Winchesters since.

Haven’t had any issues with the 22lr I have.

Retailer I bought the 22mag at exchanged them and said they’ll deal with their rep. Very nice gesture. The new brick of 22wrm has been good
