    Curious if anyone on here happens to have one of these, and if so, how do you like it? Being able to turn a Weber into a smart grill would be pretty great. The pellet smokers put out a nice product (I love my Recteq) but nothing quite competes with real chunk or split hardwood, even with a smoke tube. I love rolling the snake method on the Weber from time to time and this seems like it would be an awesome addition if it works as advertised.

    I have not used that unit, but my buddy has something similar he uses on his Kamado Joe and his vault smoker. Works fantastic! Highly recommend something like that. This also has a PID controller which those are the best electronics similar to recteq uses you can get so I am sure it will be wonderful for that application.

    Seems like a good idea but I have temp spikes the tell me internal meat and external air temp and have been able to dial in my Weber perfectly.

    The one thing I noticed watching him use the controller on those units he has it that it returns back to temp much faster when opening and closing or when you first add the meat, etc. THere is a nice little fan that blows that gets it up to temp at start much faster too.
