I have a Venmar ventilation system that is no longer working in my house. The unit is over 20 years old and my HVAC guy told me when he was here to do a fall furnace inspection that the fan motor is stuck and will need to be replaced. He was supposed to call me back with an estimate to repair but never did. He did say that it would cost between $1400 and $2000 depending on if I want to just replace the motor or the whole unit. Seems high to me, any ideas if that is the going price or should I call around to get another estimate?
