One of my favorite venison recipes is making street tacos out of a deer roast.

It’s pretty simple to make. Place a roast in a crockpot. Pour pace picture sauce in until the roast is 100% submerged in pace.
Cook until the roast shreds apart easily.

Corn tortillas, shredded venison, cilantro, fresh chopped onion and some good homemade salsa.

I just did this with squirrel last week.

I made fajitas with sharptail grouse. Turned out really good. I’ll have to try your taco recipe.

The veggies look good and charred/sautéed, but did you cook the grouse? whistling tongue

And I’m mostly kidding. Sounds good. Nothing worse than overcooked poultry, especially the wild varieties.

Different topic altogether but if someone ever wants to try woodcock, cook it hit and fast to a rare or medium rare. It’s like a teaspoon sized steak, two per bird. Easy to cook, many options.

    I digress.

Yeah I just threw the breasts on for 60 seconds a side on the grill on high. I didn’t want to overcook it. They were really really good!

They look great, and it looks like the way we cook game around my place. Rare maybe maybe slightly more then rare. And I love a good taco or fajita, and those fajitas look delicious
