    Kooty,
Looks like the other buck is clean too. I also saw a buck this holiday weekend in the Black Hills that was clean shaven too.

This is gearing up to be a strange year, everything in accelerated.(except crops)

I saw huge flocks of black birds swarming the fields….. three or four weeks early by my accounts

Canadas starting to form the very large flocks….a couple weeks early.

hard horned bucks in August…… Couple weeks ahead of schedule around me.

Dont know what this is leading up to… but I like it.

I hope they starting getting dumber. All my pics but 1 are nighttime. Last year at this time, I had two bucks down pat. Last 5 minutes of the night like clock work. Still 4 weeks to SD opener so a lot can change.

My last group of pics from the weekend had all bucks still in velvet at the farm, same at home. These are the first hard horned I have seen.

You always have to be first don’t you Kooty )

Haha. We are usually right behind you guys by a week. A buddy 6 miles west of me reported half and half last weekend on his farm.

Haha, ya. Know that country well. Some giant mule deer shot down in the Ree hills. Great whitetails all around Hand county.

Everything we saw out in NoDak was all still in velvet. Shouldn’t be too much longer.

Still velvet here, saw three on da way to work yesterday. BTW, yesterday a.m. should have been a great day in the field in the a.m. around here!!! I saw so many animals in 15 miles, it was incredible. Turkeys too and its nice to see after such a hard winter the number of poults!!! They are behind, but catching up fast…

Got my first one with the velvet off at home. All bucks at the farm still holding velvet as of 9/5.
