Screw restaurant reservations. This had to be best meal of the year in our house hold. Venison tenderloin marinated for 48 hours, baked parmesan crusted walleye, baked potato, and veggie. My wife cleared her plate which doesn’t happen often.
On a side note, she gave me an awesome man bouquet. It included a fishing magazine in the vase, Copenhagen, lottery tickets, candy, and chipotle gift cards. I guess I was a good boy this year.

I’d eat all of that but the peas. Nice looking plate.

I bought the wife some custard from Culvers and went fishing and the wife rented a movie for herself. After 30 years it’s just another day to us sleeping

PS. the bite and the weather were pretty good.

Sniff. My Valentine of 21 years, Mrs. Grouse, left on a business trip to NYC on Tuesday. cry Not back until Friday.

Mrs. Grouse didn’t fare very well for a Valentine’s dinner either. Got in after 8 PM after a delayed flight and went to order room service. Major brand name hotel in the freaking City informs her that they have permanently closed both their kitchen and restaurant, but there was a coffee machine in the lobby. Only in New Yack.
