Using other people's holes

Went out this morning and had a great time with three buddies. The bite was pretty good and the fish were pretty nice. We all had things to do so packed up at 10. I was on my wheeler and headed for the landing while they finished loading their truck. When they got to the landing they said guys had driven up and started fishing our holes before they got in the truck.

I realize that the lake is public and anyone can fish anywhere they like but it seems kinda rude to rush in and drop lines that quickly. We hadn’t had anyone within a quarter mile all morning.

Curious what others thought.

The four of us all fished out of the same hole we started in (never had to drill more) and they were all within 15 yards of the truck.

I had left but they were still packing up. I guess I wouldn’t consider pulling up and fishing a hole within peeing distance from someone else while they were still there. Maybe at least wait til they drive away.

The funny thing is we were in a big basin that has fish pretty much all over. They could have come and fished anywhere rather than watching us with binoculars and rushing to get in our holes.
