Just looking for input on where to price my 16′ tiller Ranger Fisherman. It is a 1989 but has a 1994 Merc 50 hp 4 stroke. Livewell, baitwell, Lawrance color graph/gps, 2 yr old 55lb auto pilot w spot lock, one year old radio/cd/mp3 radio, brown color combo exterior and is in good shape for the year. Motor runs and great w elec start and I have a ranger trailer also. I can’t find any comparisons so just looking for honest input. I’m open to send more info if someone is interested also. I’m buying a newer Ranger Reata so not selling for not liking Rangers that’s for sure. Was guessing $5,000 or so but no real idea if I’m crazy.

I’ve got an 88 680t and I would think you could get close to 5000 for it, depending on the shape of the boat.

Like the old adage goes, “it’s worth what someone’s willing to pay” is spot on with these boats. Muskie guys love them. I love mine and don’t think I will ever part with it.

How fast does the 50 push your boat?

The 50 pushes me about 31 with me and another person in the boat. Add another couple mph when I’m solo. I adde a hydrofoil on the motor which helped some too. I added a couple photos from last summer of it if anyone is interested in taking a harder look. I have it stored inside now so can’t get current pics as of today.

Cool, I believe that 50 merc is the first year of 4-strokes for them… don’t see many of them around. How has it treated you?

And as far as price goes, with a boat that old the value is very dependent on the condition of boat, motor, and trailer. Your boat looks to be in pretty good shape from the pictures though. Accessories only add value to the “right” buyer and are usually worth more if sold separately.
