    New here.

About to pull the trigger on a very gently used 2018 Impact XS. Only 13 hours on the 150 4stroke. I had planned to order new, but the 15K discount is hard to pass. Anyway, I’ve not had a boat in 20 years (kids are finally out) and technology has changed greatly. I generally understand graphs in the various forms 2D/3D/Live, but this boat has Vessel View, which appears to replace gauges, plotting and fish finder etc. I’ve done quite a bit of web searching and can’t really find a ton of information on Vessel View other than the motor monitoring features. Anyone have experience with these? What is the graph like, will I want to add a Lowrance or Hummingbird to the dash (I will be adding one to the bow)?

Also, the used boat only has three seats and a bimini top, I would like a 4th (matching) seat and a sport top (connects to windshield). I don’t see where these can be purchased direct from Lund. Can parts like these be purchased via a Lund dealer (the marina selling the boat is not a Lund dealer)?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can buy any accessories you want through a Lund dealer. Be sure to have the warranties all transferred to your name.

vessel view I think is only for Lowrance. My old boat had a humminbird my new boat is lowrance. I don’t miss my bird. Are your three seats including the jump seats? If not I would see if you really need an extra seat after a couple of trips. I have a 1775 impact and love it!

The three seats exclude the jump seats, so it does have five total.

Is the Bimini on the boat right now? The way they connected my step dad’s is about the stupidest thing I’ve seen. Folded down it takes out the option to use the jump seats, whole thing rests halfway on the back storage area. PIA.

He got the Lund set. Real nice quality. Functionality doesn’t make sense. But he has the 1775, so may differ with yours. Boat itself is fantastic.

I have a 2018 Impact 1875 and vessel view mobil on my Mercury 4=stroke 150hp. Vessel view gives you all the engine info by blue tooth that you might otherwise get from more expensive smart gauges. I get that info through an app on my phone. You may be able to view it on a compatible depth finder screen. You will need the fish finder to get sonar, mapping etc. vessel view doesn’t do all that. The 2018 1875 was a nice up grade from 2017 giving you a little larger boat and more metal in the hull. It has a lot of accessible storage and room for passengers/fishing. Ride is OK and dry. Good all around boat.

TY for the quick and complete replies. Very helpful. I made an offer, we shall see if I am an owner in the next few days.

Carnivore, The boat does have a VV screen, which shows all the engine data and it also has a transducer on the transom (it is a huge transducer). Guess when I water test (offer is contingent on an in water test) I can check it out.

    Thanks again.

Call Mercury direct. They will be able to help you with Vessel View.
