A guy down the block had a 20 year old Alumacraft Lunker SC with a 50 horse Merc on it, no electronics or trolling motor. I haven’t seen it move from their garage in a least 5 years. I was talking to him last week about the crazy prices used boats were going for and he decided to try and sell it. He took it out over the weekend and the motor ran fine and the livewell pump was the only thing that didn’t work. Talking to his son tonight I find out he took it to the car wash yesterday to clean it up and sold it while he was cleaning it! The kid didn’t know what it sold for, just that his dad was offered more than he had planned on asking.
