USB Lighting for Lithium Shuttle

I just purchased the new Marcum Lithium shuttle to pair with my lx5i.

When fishing in a hub I used to hook my troo shine LED light strip with remote dimmer to my 12v battery with gator clips and it worked great. Part of why I purchased the shuttle was so I didn’t have to carry around an extra battery to power my flasher, lights and phone/electronics. I purchased a couple sets of usb LED lights to plug in to the front of the shuttle and have not been impressed with the color and brightness.

Does anyone know of a good usb powered LED light strip?

Is there a way for me to convert my old 12v powered lights to plug in to the usb?

USB is 5volts, so probably not feasible. However the charger outlet on the left side will be 12volts, so just need to figure out the correct plug size.

Is that side plug just an input for charging or can it output power as well?

It should be an output as well, however they may have put a diode on it to protect itself. I’ll try and check tonight.

When I am set up this way the flasher will sit on a milk crate off the ice, the same way it did with my 12v setup.

For my phone I have a Ram X mount attached to the unit that is probably safer than my jacket pocket.

Just looking for some suggestions that may help me out.

Just checked and my original post about the charging port will not work. The circuit must have a diode that prevents backflow as there is no power at the port. Sorry to get your hopes up…

I appreciate you taking your time to check it out for me – thanks for that!

Would have been nice to use the TrooShine Lights with the dimmer, but oh well.

I think between the USB light I have, the light on the Shuttle and a headlamp I will be covered.

    Lol.

Just find the right plug and replace your alligator clips with the plug. Plug into charging port on shuttle.
