Late season hunt,Dec 28,2003

I made it out for a few hours this morning.We’ve had warm temps the last few days which has knocked down alot of the snow cover.To pick up roosters this time of year is a feel good hunt. .I seen close to 30 hens and only 3 roosters.I did get one rooster to hold for me and it was dropped by my Benelli.The hen #’s appear to be strong right now which is great for #’s next year if we can get a dry nesting season.Only a few weeks left for pheasant season.I hope to make it out a few more times before another great year comes to a close.Here is Chy with a late season rooster.
