Price County Wi Grouse population

I’ve put on quite a few miles deer hunting the last two days. I should be grouse hunting! The population is about as good as I have ever seen it. If a guy shot 50%, I think he could fill up by noon. Highest concentrations have been in dry tag alders and open hardwoods bordered by 5-15 year old clear cuts. I am hunting in the Phillips/Kennan/Catawba area public land.

When we get that far west we are on the south side of 70, just not as far south as you are… thanks for the report, We flushed 6 today in a couple hour walk north of Minocqua before we grabbed the rifles and I went 1 for 1.
