Hello?!

I cant take it any more. Grouse opener less than a month out and nobody is posting anything. Wake up out there!!!
Actaullly I prefer this not being so popular. Less competition out there is a good thing. Lets see. Opening weekend I’m hitting Sconny with buddy. I dont expect much but we have a free place to stay and can always fish as a backup. Second weekend-motherland. That’s it for plans. All other weekends open so I’m sure I’ll be after them someplace. Might have to hit the motherland twice this year! Then pheasant season….. Busy Busy Busy.

Should be a good year for grouse! Seeing lots of them on our land along the Mississippi River

Sweet!! I heard a similar report from one of the areas I’m hunting. I’ve not seen anything near my cabin. Maybe 2 4 wheeling but I have been doing a lot of 4 wheeling this summer and should have seen many more if there were any kind of numbers.

Shed hunting this spring there were birds all over. I haven’t been down there for awhile though. I’m sure they’re still there. Hopefully get the new springer ready to hunt them by next fall!
