    Yesterday I got our pheasants back from Von Hansens. Just wanted to let everyone know they provide this service and WOW are they good. Special actually.

    My problem with smoked pheasant is very little of it makes it to the plate to share with others.

    mmmmmmmm smoked pheasant.
    a few years back we used to stop at a locker in chamberlain on wally trips to sd and pick up smoked pheasants for 5 bucks apiece. sometimes none made it home.
    saw them in a cabelas xmas catalog this year for about 50 bucks for 2.

    Do you take in a whole bird or the breast?

    Whole bird. We have to clean them with this in mind. Otherwise we usually seperate the breast from legs.
