Hunting on the family farm continues to be good. Hunting in thick cover near adjacent food plots is where most of them seem to be right now. In all we ended up with 4 roosters on Saturday and 3 more on Sunday bringing the total up to just over 30 roosters for the year.
I am glad the weather was nice and could bring by son Zach with me. He sure loves hunting with me when he can. Seeing him getting so excited when birds flush and saying, “Dad theres one” and then after the shot when he gets to hold the rooster is pretty rewarding as a Dad. Only 6 more years until he will be a new hunter to the clan.
