Yep, I can cross that one off the list after last Saturday. What’s a guy supposed to do when it’s the only time you can hunt and it’s hot out? Still waiting for all the scratches to heal.
Three of us flushed 6 birds (couple re-flushes) all near water Saturday. It was drier than a popcorn fart anywhere else. Sunday morning it was a little cooler and wetter we ended up putting up 3 birds in 3 hours and the new guy finally scored with a red phase juvi. More hunting this weekend on the North Shore. Hopefully I can find some slow birds to put in my bag for a change. Still excellent to get out again. Question Why did every single bird get up in front of the new guy??? Must have been the excellent guiding right?
Crop= 1 highbush cranberry, 6 dogwood berries, 4 bluish berries, and some alder catkins, no greens what so-ever.
Good Luck,
Ferny
