just got back from a 2 day hunt in cottonwood co. between Windom and Mountain Lake. I got my 4 birds but they didn’t come easy. My old dog pulled a muscle on the first hunt of the first day. That left me with a 9 month old pup with only 1 trip to a game farm for experience. Lots of walking and some oops from the pup [and a couple from me] but there were quite a few birds around.the crops are about 1/2 off the fields so the next weeks should concentrate the birds more. Lots of posted land but a plat map and cell phone got me in enough spots.All in all a good hunt!
