Grouse hunt 2010

well wasn’t great but wasn’t bad, had a great time, total we put up 30 ruffies over the weekend for 6 guns, lots of miles and and lots of covered ground but also, lots of folks out, especially with the nice weather. It was great as I took my 6yr old and 3yr old out with a couple days and walked them through the woods and was able to show them wildlife and some deer scrapes and just watch their enjoyment. I now realize I need to invest in hunting clothes for both of them because I think I created a couple addicted kids. First picture is of my first Grouse of 2010 and 2nd one is just getting pulled out of a nice deep mud hole I found….

Wow, is that a copper grouse with a gray tail??

thought it was just a standard ruffie, am I wrong in that?

Could just be the pic. Bird looked very red looking. Nice job though. Should have taken the wheeler pic when is was stuck!

I tried but my hands were so covered in mud when I got off with the winch, the lens was covered in mud, so had to wait to clean it off…
