I don’t like to pay for shipping when I don’t have to.

    Or sales tax.

    $7.95 to ship a $29.99 15′ cable and I don’t even need 2′.

They’re even adding tax to the total which means you pay
    tax on the S & H.

    BASS……………TURDS!!

Understood Dan. However, on smallish, low cost items, you’ll probably end up paying for shipping one way or another. Even with Jolly Ann, we have to consider shipping into the cost. You figure on a $25 part, the margin is only going to be $5 to $10. If Company “A” has to spend $5 to $7 to package and ship it, they’re going to have to pass that on to the customer, whether they put it into the price of the product, or they add it on as shipping and handling. There’s just no financial incentive for them to pay for shipping to sell an item that if they can’t make a reasonable profit.

Now, taxes… we all hate taxes!

I’m heading up to Ely this weekend to do some grouse hunting with some friends. What size shot should I be using? Shooting a 12gauge

    Thanks!

With most of the leaves down I’d shoot 7 1/2 shot.

My one piece of advice would be to not spend a lot of time on the Echo trail.

Not producing well this year? I’m not sure where we are going at this point. Were staying at “Lodge of Whispering Pines”

It is THE main trail around there. Gets WAY too much traffic. You wouldnt believe the number of vehicles running that thing. I suggest finding other roads if you can. Also they try to make you fill out a ridiculous un-American federal form just to walk the trails that touch the BWCA. Right out of the parking lots. My wife and I coined them the red zones. I refused to fill them out and never ran into the infamous “border patrol”. Good luck. Beautiful area. Nice town. I recommend Ely Steak House for dinner if you go out.

You are allowed but you are required to fill out a form to walk from your parked vehicle into the woods…….this on US Federal (formally totally public) land.

Dont mind me. I just get irritated every time another freedom is taken away from me.

I feel your pain bud. Our cabin is 4 miles from the BWCA boundary. I’m not a fan of paperwork myself, in fact I only do paperwork at the office. I may or may not walk on BWCA lands from time to time.
