Where are some of the better game farms around the cities? I live by Orlando game farm, But I’ve heard it’s not very good. Just wanna get Ruby on some birds in a “game on” scenario.

It’s a little bit of a drive into Wis but my favorite is Forrest Ridge a ways past New Richmond. Very nice people and the fields are all natural. Only place I go and I have been to “Orlando”. 715-265-7188

Check out Traxler’s Hunting Preserve located in Le Center, MN. I’ve been there many times and always had a good experience. Here’s their website: http://www.traxlers.com

Thanks Mike…..You gave me good advise on my boat cover, So I’ll take your advice again. Anyone interested in hitting Forrest Ridge game farm Friday morning? So far I have myself and 1 new dog. Not anticipating any problems with her, just need to get some birds and a couple shots over her. PM me if your interested.

There’s also a place in Goodhue called Pheasant View dot com.
They are pretty laid back with a smaller operation.

We ended up going to Forrest ridge north of Baldwin. I give it an A+! CLean facilities and the feild was just right. 1st bird got up and he was a strong one as I pounded him with the 1st shot and he kept going and my partner pounded him with 4 shot and he kept flying, 100 yards out he fell. Not dead,Just fell. Ruby…My 11 month old (who was trained by Don Hanson)was on her 1st. “hunt” gave chase. She made the retrieve at about 100 yrds with no commands from us,Brought it to my partner who rung it’sm neck! Alright Ruby!!!! Between her and Cooper, Those birds did’nt stand a chance. We put out 6 and saw all 6(One hen jumped way early) and got 5. I almost envision a year with no lost birds. I think she’s ready for ND in a week or 2.
