does anyone know anything about bird hunting in Kansas. the dog and I are going to go down there in two weeks and hunt walk ins. Based on the Kansas bird forecast i was going to region 1 but have never been there before. Anyone have advice on locations in the state to hunt/stay?
Not much for info but I was reading somewhere that the birds numbers in that state are second to only SD. Sounds like a blast and hope things go well for you. Please report how you did. Do you know how late the season goes?
We just came back from the northern part of KS for a turkey hunt. Lots of snow there. Talking with a few of the locals it is the most snow they have seen since 1952. One thing is in the area we were they only plow the roads if the have a house or cattle on them. Lots of roads unplowed. We did see some other hunters at the motel that were getting a few birds though!
