Is there any pheasants in your part. I use 2 deer hunt near Spikard MO. With no party hunting in MO I would get a 5 day bird licenes after I filled the deer tag and still be able 2 hunt. We had a mixture of pheasants and quail. What great times

My Dad was born in Paris Mo and I was able to hunt quail down there in high school. 2 years ago my dad and I met down there and they had a terrible ice storm. We were able to get a couple of coveys up and I did shoot a rooster, had to hit him three times with the #8 shot I had to bring him down. I am envious to say the least.

Paris is North of where I am headed but I grew up in Warrensburg, MO which is just southwest of Paris. There are some birds in that area but if you want to get into some great shooting the warrensburg area really had it. Needless to say I am pumped. I’ll post pics after I return.

Nope no pheasants, my brother went to the junior college in Trenton which I believe is south of Spikard and yep there were a few pheasants around. I am headed to the springfield area which is down on the southwestern side.
