Kirt I missed our annual trip to the Lidgerwood/Forman area this year, but friends did great this year. I don’t know how far it is from where you are staying, but I know a few place you could hunt if interested.

Well it was a weekend of spooky birds, I hunted PLOTS land, I was 1 for 1 my 2 boys had a chance half dozen or so but inexperience did not help, oh well. Lotsa birds, Catails are brutel, we would touch one side bam they were out the other side. Molly did wonderful, I got to see her tackle a a hen but it got away from her, she flushed this rooster, I hit and it coasted off about 150 yds, we went after it, and it tried to get up and she tackled that bird.

She really got the program then, she tackled the catail sloughs like a machine, funny all you would see is the catails move has she worked under them, and she would pop up.

Oh well next time. 3 days of catail sloughs, she is dead tired.

    Congrats Kirt!

Sounds like a fun time and thanks for sharing pics. Lab and Bird pics never get old.

I’m hoping to get out one or two more times yet.

Rob be prepared for nervous birds, the guys I ran into had the same thing to say, not allot of people out there , I could live out there , the ones that were hunting only had 2 birds, so if I think we did good, just lack of experience on shooting with the boys. If you are going out there again let me know, I can give you a more detailed report. The weather did not help, to nice birds could see us and hear us coming and would flush.

    Tired lab, Sunday night

If I go to ND this weekend, I will be hunting Deer. If I stay in MN, I will be bird hunting at least one day.

Trying to make it out on Thursday also!
