Time to start hitting the cattails after today.
No longer have to race to the parking lot to be the first at the WMA’s and WPA’s as a lot of the nancy boys think it’s too cold to hunt or too hard to walk the swamps.

hit the swamps today. 20 degrees with a 6 degree windchill. Did not encounter any other hunters in the field but saw a lot of guys driving around. (you can’t bag any roosters from the heated cab of your truck) The cattails are accessible I still broke through a couple of times (if I would lay off the jelly dougnuts maybe I wouldn’t have that problem) The light dusting of snow was a welcome sight as well.

Got a call from a buddy who said they finally got the corn out at his place. Going to hit a few public on the way down there, while he is muzzy hunting, then its rooster time!

He is ready,But we’re running outta time my friend. Uless we were to go either Monday or Tuesday next week. Not sure as to Dan’s hockey schedule though. 1 of the 2 day’s should work!
