Well I wish it was “Big Buck Down” but its “Big Birds Down”. After hangin from a tree for the last 3 weeks straight, the dog looked at me last night and looked pissed. So after the morning bow hunt I grabbed the dog and ran the front part of my land…The birds were thick got my limit before the dog needed a drink of water but it was good to get out. Im not sure if this sunny warm weather contributed but it seemed like i was back in South Dakota hunting pheasant..lots of roosters…anyone else put down the bow and take a breather to chase some birds?? I think Ill invite a few buddies and run the dog again tomorrow…good luck..Jay

No need to explain there, I know exactly what you are talking about.

I promised my little guy that Friday we will go out to some public stuff before we leave to ND. I also told him we may not find any, but at least we are out!

Although I bet you wish you had been in your stand today.

That rooster on the left looks huge! How long are those tail feathers?

Yup it was a pig..the pooch had to work to return him….awasome spurs as well.I kept the feathers and will have to measure them..If i dodnt already have mounts it would have been a good one to do..its about 10 am just got out of the stand and we are going to go try and get a few more…maybe get the dog tired today.
