What do you guys shoot for pheasant loads? Some would say it doesn’t really matter for me , but I shoot Federal Pheasant Forever loads in either 5 or 4 shot. Fleet Farm has it on sale for 13.99/box. Any suggestions on a good steel load for pheasants?

Black cloud has really good loads for steel.

I have always shot the #4 winchester experts in steel. I dont use any thing else. I dont even look at lead any more. got tired of changing cause you can use it at one place but not the next.

im with stick boy, switching from lead to steel and vise versa is a PITA.

ive decided that my 3″ #4 kent faststeel from duck hunting is the ticket. i switched from that to 3.5″ #3s for ducks. more boom boom makes me more confident, also the same speed shot by both is a lot easier to practice swinging your gun on stuff.

i find that its easier to just the amount of lead you need to give them when you shoot the same type and velocity of shot.
