I have always been interested in taxidermy so this weekend i decided to try mounting a pheasant i shot last november. The results were not the greatest but come to surprise better then i thought it would turn out. Now that i got a hang of it a little i got a couple ducks and a goose to experiment with during the off season.

Looks good! Great taxidermy is an art form. It’s not easy to take a wild animal, kill it and try to reproduce it in such a fashion it looks to be back in the wild. Keep practicing!!

No it really was not to bad it just took alot of patients. Im not sure what made me want to start it to tell you the truth. I think its because almost everything i shoot i want to get mounted but i cannot afford it so i figured i would try it my self i guess.

Actually i just watched a video that was on you tube. And yes i do plan on doing a deer next year. I had one last year but a cousin needed one for taxidermy school so i let him take it.
