I headed for Iowa for Thanksgiving yesterday so I thought I would hunt my way south.I spent most of my time in the Albert Lea area. I had a pretty slow day only seeing two roosters and two hens all day Thank God my shooting was on or it would have been an even longer day.Lindy got real birdy then ran back the way we had come from, I was thinking she was on a cripple until see came back foaming at the mouth and rubbing her head on the ground. She got it right in the face. The good news is 15 minutes later she pointed a rooster so it didn’t affect her nose to bad. If you have this happen a mixture of tomato juice and baking soda works great I’m just getting my gears cranking on the pheasant hunting this year after spending alot of time trying to put an arrow into a deer. I plan on hunting my way back north on Sunday as soon as I cross the Minnesota Iowa border. Happy holidays to all

Sorry to hear it Sippi. Rufus and I never have crossed a skunk yet (thank god) but have had a few close calls and short wrestling matches with coons. Good to hear she didn’t miss a beat after that. Have a good trip back!
