So what has everyone been seeing for numbers? Down around Albert Lea I would say we are below the last two years (which were two of the best for me). At first i blamed lack of sigtings on corn but this weekend we hunted a few spots without a corn field for miles and very few birds. Still a great time and we are shooting a few birds, I think once the cold hits a few of my spots should fill up, but I am believing now the reports that numbers are down (can’t be uber high every year). On a side note I leave for western south dakota on monday for five days of pheasant and prairie chicken hunting, my buddy who owns the ranch we are going to said on opening day 10 guys shot 30 birds in less than ten minutes. They haven’t hunted his ranch since so needless to say I am pumped
