If you want to really draw in the doves, consider planting millet or milo.
When I hunted doves in CO, we hunted over HUGE fields of millet (bird seed) and milo. We hammered the doves and had a blast.

Last year was my first year hunting them and i found a new love. They are some very hard birds to hit, when you go through 100 shells and only have 4 birds to show for it, it makes a guy think he isnt a very good shot till you go throw some clays after that and pepper all of em and research that these birds can fly 50 mph its pretty humbling.
