    we have been seeing a few roosters on the roadsides this past week near our Duck INN near The Big Pond were getting the itch to buy a few more to turn loose again this year-
    were going for 21 hens and 4 roosters either this week or next week (adults) there at $8 each at the game farm out of Princeton on 169-

    2 weekends ago while haveing coffee at 8;30 a big Timber wolf trotted down the driveway only 220 ft away–it was no coyote, iv hunted them so i had better know, we got a pix of him but i didnt use the zoom and he looks like a dot at 220 ft
    after the snow last weekend we scootted around on the atv looking for tracks outside the woods (i have 4 pure slicks on the atv) 1987 Honda 4×4 never had a tire change but were buying new tires this year real soon like next week;

    anyway we didnt see any pheaseant tracks, bear tracks or any other tracks till the next day, then we saw deer, partrige and turkey tracks and of course our mothers cat and dog tracks looking for handouts as usual–the wind was blowing to hard for a camp fire so we opted for pounding down a few and playing strip poker (were pretty hidden from the world in the cabin) thats a fun game where i win and in the last couple bets was new atv tires, battery for it and the cost of the pheaseants on the line Judge Judy “foots the bill” !!!!!!
    Saturday was a tuffy in the morning- people came for firewood we sell–mud -mud and deeper mud;; the driveway is great but just dont get off it now

    this weekend im hooking on the disk to mud up things to get ready for food plots–no card games–and get the water hooked up, tires changed, camp fire built and kick back on the deck, imagineing pheaseants running all over next weekend

    Dang snow coming today through Saturday morning sure put a crimp in my plans to get the pheaseants picked up Friday night and transplanted- oh well i guess next weekend will have to do- StCloud to Brainerd is supposed to get 12″

    had to laugh when i ordered them for pick up this weekend, they said they may look a little tough because there all in breeding barns doing there thing for spring , so some may already have eggs started when we pick them up
