What does November drainage ditch pheasant hunting with plowed fields on both sides and a three year old lab add up to?————-getting your exercise!You know the drill, hauling the mail after a hot dog on a running rooster. I love it, I love chasing late season birds, all the fair weather hunters are gone and the birds that are left are smart and fast.The first half hour can be tough when your fingers get stiff and cold but once you work that out and the dog settles down a bit you can hunt those ditches pretty well. I don’t have Lindy hunting both sides yet but if shes anything like Gunner was that should start soon. We hunted down one side and back on the other, I got my two birds 100 yards for the truck on the way back. All and all it was a quick but good morning out.The only question I have is what to do tomorrow, pheasant hunt or hit Pool 2
