I went to one of my usual spots Saturday for alittle bird chasing. After deer hunting for two weekends it was nice to get Lindy out again.I usually head down to the slew from the farm house, but after the first few weeks the birds get conditioned to this, so I decided to throw them a curveball and walk all the way around and come in from the other side.I think I caught them flat footed,we locked onto two roosters about ten minutes apart and were done by 9:20.We are all creatures of habit, but if you have some willy old roosters busting wild on you try something different, it sure worked for me.

Thanks for the tip. I will have to try that one. I have been hunting alot of public land and man are the birds jumpy. Just by getting out of the car the birds are gone.

Ok, here is one for ya. Coming home from work I drive by one of the places I hunt. I see a rooster sitting in the ditch. Go back with the pup. He starts working close to parking area and gets very birdy. I happen to look up and the bird is running down the road! I am going to have to use posters.

Lindys father is Gabe out of Cashzingers kennel, I am very pleased with her.She got the retrieving from Dad and the pointing Lab from her Mom.
