Well my pup Timber and I had a couple of hours to waste and decided to head out to my land to try and pick up a bird. My wife wanted cream of pheasant soup and we are short on birds in the freezer..We had to work pretty hard as they were holding real tight and Timber was pretty much jumpin on top of them before they got up..we actually got up 3 roosters and several hens…Ended up takin just what we needed for the soup so hopefully there will more birds next time out…Last time out my gun must have been broke as I missed the only rooster we saw..oh well, nothin like watchin you best bud work hard in the thick cover…Good hunting Jay

No better way to spend a couple of hours. Nice pictures too. With the gun deer season opener today I am resting and letting my dog heal up a bit.
What time will the soup be ready?

    Exactly!

    Very nice pictures indeed!

Only 2 more weekends until I’m back pounding birds with my best buddy!
