i heard that dove hunting is great here in mn but so far i have never seen more than 2 doves ever together. i tried to to look up information on dove hunting but no sucess. i was just wandering what attracts dove, do corn fields do or do bean fields do. i’m kind of clueless about it.

We had a set up this year on a lone pine tree in the middle of a open field. there was Ditch weed growing all around, we mowed around that, they like to eat the seeds, get urself a pole with the dove decoys on it, put some decoys on the tree and make some blinds and u should have some luck. we did pretty good this year, but should of done a lot better….. They are hard buggers to hit

Doves are migratory so by this point in the season there are very few left in this state. September and early October are the best months to hunt around here. Start watching next Summer and you will find a decent population. They need gravel every day and they like to go to water in the afternoon so a dead tree by a waterhole can be a good place to look.
