    Been about 50/50 hunting private and public land. I am seeing about a 5 to 1 ratio of hens to cocks. Good season so far, getting the dog lots of work.

    Only seen one bird this morning. The good news is, we got it.

    How has the bird hunting been over there. Are they flush wild or holding tight. Very where We have been this year the birds are flushing pretty fare out. We have seen alot this year.

    We have been hunting pretty heavy cover so most are holding fairly tight.

    Remembering back to my school days, used to hunt a fair amount of public, but also had some good contacts for private land as well. Look for the kidney beans!!!
