The Iowa PF State Council is asking for your help again this year as we roll out our 2007 Build A Wildlife Area (BAWA) raffle. Like last years raffle, this has the potential to net nearly $100,000 for IOWA public land acquisitions. Last years raffle, in its rookie year, netted close to $40,000 and created some great excitement for the 52 gun winners, whether they were individuals or chapters. Monies raised from last year’s raffle were matched, and as you will see shortly, created new outdoor opportunities in our state.
As far as the raffle itself – 1 ticket = $50. But the excitement shouldn’t stop there as every dollar invested is matched with a minimum of 1 state dollar and 1 Federal dollar – so a 3 to 1 leveraging of your dollar invested in Iowa public hunting areas – this ticket purchase adds $150 worth of habitat to our state.
