1/1/07 is the last day for Pheasant in MN, does that mean you can hunt Monday or not?

Nope……..I put my gun way this morning.Had a very succesful year for me considering I lost my Lab, Gunner, a week before the season and had to start anew with a started dog. I bagged about 20 Pheasants with Cooper..My new English Setter. He did an outstanding job after we got aquainted!
Here’s to hoping for a better 2007 season and hopefully great nesting conditions in the spring.

I got out with Rock on Sunday for a few hours in the rain. Had a couple wild flushes, and a few points of hens, but did not get to even fire the gun.

It did not matter though. I have had a great season, and the dog was working flawlessly. A little cold and rain can’t take away from that.

And for Christmas, the wife blew up a favorite picture of mine, the dog on point, and it is now hanging in the living room, next to the gun case Thanks honey
