well guys I am hammering out the plans for the 13 annual Rooster run. for those of you who didnt make it last year the cost of the hunt is 110.00 per day(you can hunt one day or both days) that gets you 5 roosters set out, plus lunch and something to drink.
this year we will be going to Royal Flush hunting preserve in Hinckley Mn. Royal Flush is a new 5 star preserve with 1500 acres of awesome cover and a million dollar club house. The dates will be Febuary 17th and 18th. I will be putting up a sign up post as we get closer to the days this is just to put a blurb out there so everyone can get it on the calander.
    any questions let me know
    thanks, Corey

    Cory,

I am interested in the event. You couldn’t have picked a nicer facility and the shooting preserve is top notch as are the sporting clays. John and Chris are wonderful hosts and reputable British Lab Breeders. Above is a picture of Maddie my British Yellow Lab at 8 months old on her hunt at Royal Flush. I also sent you an e-mail, if you need help organizing the event just ask.

COOL!! I have never been to Royal Flush yet. In the 12 years of putting on this hunt I have been to lots of different preserves between Mn and Wi and this one does look top notch! I have talked to John a couple of times now and he seems like a great guy and I think he will take GREAT care of us. I am really looking forward to this hunt and hopefully we can get a few more new faces this year. One thing I forgot to mention is that John also said our hunt was going to be ALL ROOSTERS!!!!!! after all it is the 13th annual ROOSTER RUN!!thanks for your reply if I need some help I will be sure to drop you a line.

This sounds really cool. Especially since my dog is out of commision now. She should be fine by then. The problem for me is there will likely only be a few weekends open to snomobiling this season if its like the last few late Feb may be it. I wouldn’t be suprised if it starts then in most places. It did last year. I have to prioritize sledding to some extent. If the season is underway and looking good before Feb I may be open for this event. If there is no snow in Feb I will definitely be open for this event.

No $h%^%t. My wife and I were just talking about how we were forced out of our biggest shared hobby. We’ll go but it wont be as often as we like. Probably have to trailer to Michigan to get an early fix. More time to ice fish but that does my wife no good.

Cory, I would be interested in something like this…do I need a dog??

Woody and Forrest would be hiding behind me if they ran into a rooster!
I don’t get in this forum too often, so yell at me when the details come out. Thanks!

I will definatly let you guys know the particulars when we get closer.BK you cant just live in the cat forum!! I actually got a call from Royal Flush the other day. They traced the link back to us here on the web site. The gal that I talked to was very pleasant and I really belive this years hunt is going to be the best one out of the 13. FYI anyone can bring there own dog, the only thing I ask is make sure your dog in under controll at all times. That is the only problem (in 13 years) that I have ever had to deal with, and that was PO’D guys watching their birds fly out the end of the field because someones dog when bonkers. other than that prepare to have TONS of fun and meat some pretty cool new friends.
