You were hunting with tungsten or bismuth the whole time right?

N.E. Iowa is often overlooked for pheasants. I’ve lived in this part of the state my entire 49+ years and there has always been good pheasant hunting to be had. We don’t get the numbers of quail like they do in southern Iowa but once and a while you run into a covey.

Nice chickens!!! And that is a huge honker!!

I have been out chicken hunting walking a fence line and had a honker fly right into our group before it was weird.

    Anyway nice hunt!

I was hunting back home in Dallas County, IA. I shot the upland birds, then on my way home, there is a pond that is usually stacked with ducks and geese, so being the prepared hunter i am, i had my plug, and steel shot ready in the truck! NE Iowa is way overlooked for pheasants, which is fine by me!
