    30 flushes in 5 & 3/4 hours with three hunters / three dogs.

    Looking in gizzards and crops it looked like they were eating dandylion greens and the tips of these little evergreen things that grow on the peat bog floor.

    Most of the action was between 3:00 pm & 4:00 pm…

    Yeah a got land off of 4 north of barnum and the birds have been going like crazy alot of woodcock also i just wish i could have got more hunting in this fall

    Shooting was not exactly as solid as the bird numbers – went home with one limit

    Birds are pretty much anywhere north of Hinckly from what I have found so far – we were just off Cty road 53 on State land.

    Look for soft and green grass, seems to be what they are eating – I didnt find any on dogwoods which is odd.. but maybe they know somthing we dont about getting to the grass shoots?

    Naw, I pretty much stay clear of the woods w/ my dogs in Bambi season. I hunt 3B down by Redwing the last week of November.
