October 6, 2006 at 2:02 pm #22055I wont make the Mn opener. I hope to get out at least once in western Minn the weekend after or a week day. Time is so tight right now. I am however penciled in for Iowa opener.

October 6, 2006 at 2:39 pm #22061My GSP has started growling at me and acting threatening whenever I get near the boat. October and November should really be 60 day months. There is so much stuff you can do its impossible to do everything.

October 6, 2006 at 2:57 pm #22064I’m fishing next Friday and Saturday nights on Mille Lacs. Then it is down to around Mankato for Sunday to do a ltitle warm up before we head to SD for the following weekend of blasting roosters. I’m hoping to get Stacie to shoot her first bird and have it be over our dog Rufus.
Another pic for you boys from late season ND a few years back.

October 6, 2006 at 3:42 pm #22070I will not be hunting next weekend, but I am jacked up to get down south. Here is a shot from last year, on the first snow of the year. It was 2 great points from the dog, and two dead roosters in the game bag.

Thanks, you got my blood pumping, Im ready to

October 6, 2006 at 4:18 pm #22075Not to burst anyone’s bubble but the corn will probably not be coming out as fast as you think. I just talked to my dad in NW IA and he said the corn is still plenty plenty wet and nobody is in a hurry to get started.

October 6, 2006 at 4:27 pm #22076Good then when I go down in Nov. the hunting will be great and the opener crowd will be long gone. Standing corn= lots less birds and the guys get discouraged very quickly…Good for me

October 7, 2006 at 5:51 am #22094Nice picture Bob! Very artfully done. I’m hoping Daisy the GSP will sit still long enough for me to get some pictures of her and some roosters this year.

October 9, 2006 at 12:38 pm #22125I took the dog out for a walk to some public land last night. The dog pointed 5 roosters, 3 hens, and I had another 4 birds flushing wild
