So has anyone seen any Ringnecks this fall yet. I am excited. I have permission on some land south of the cities to bowhunt and pheasant hunt. I went down there Monday night to glass a few fields. I normally don’t bowhunt until the last week in October. I glassed a few small bucks and a real nice one in the field for about 15 minutes until they disappeared over a ridge. I deceided to get out of the truck and take a look at the creek to see if there was any woodies in there. As soon as the door opened three roosters took off 10 yards from me. After I cleaned out my shorts I walked to the creek and had two pheasants running in front of me. Never saw if they were roosters or hens but it was fun watching the tall grass flying all over the place as they weaved back and forth trying to get away. It was nice to see they are doing good this year. I have seen several others around the area too. Now I just have to wait until opener.

My dad lives in Litchfield and he said it is not as good for them this year as last but there still are there. Can’t wait to get out and take a few shots!

I have made two trips to Marshall in the last month, and I am yet to see a bird. All my friends down there are telling me that there are a ton of birds. I heard the Benson area is pretty good also, but that might change after I am there on opener. The Lincoln and Lyon county birds will be getting a whooping too.
